Alexander (Sandie) Logie Stalker was born in Aberdeen in 1920 and entered the University of Aberdeen as first bursar in 1937. He graduated MB, CH B with first class honours in 1942, and following house officer training in Aberdeen, served with the RAMC in North Africa, Italy and France. From 1947 until his retirement in 1982, he was a member of the University of Aberdeen's Department of Pathology, entering as lecturer, promoted to a personal chair in 1969 and becoming Regius Wilson Professor in ...
